Plenty of companies sell ductwork; far fewer actually make it. Smart Ventilation Systems is a genuine ductwork fabricator — the brake presses, seam closers and fittings shop are ours, and every order is manufactured from galvanised sheet steel in our Knebworth workshop rather than pulled from someone else's stock.

Fabricating in-house means any size to the millimetre, fittings that match the duct either side of them, and honest lead times measured in days. Price standard parts online in minutes, or send drawings for a full take-off.

Standard parts can be configured and priced online in minutes. For full projects, email your drawings or schedules and we'll return a priced take-off and fabricate to programme. Every section leaves the workshop sealed with oil-based mastic, protected with blue film and labelled per section — delivered UK-wide or collected from Knebworth.

Do you fabricate ductwork yourselves or resell it?

We fabricate it ourselves. Our Knebworth workshop holds the folding, seaming and sealing machinery, and every order is manufactured in-house from galvanised sheet steel — which is why we can make any size to the millimetre and turn orders around in days.

Can you fabricate ductwork from my drawings?

Yes. Email your drawings, schedules or even a marked-up sketch to orders@smart-vent.co.uk and we'll return a priced take-off. One-off specials and non-standard fittings are a normal part of our week.

What standard is your fabricated ductwork made to?

Everything is fabricated to DW144, the UK sheet-metal ductwork specification: correct gauge for the duct size, stiffening beads or cross-breaking, and oil-based mastic sealed seams as standard.

How quickly can fabricated ductwork be ready?

Because nothing waits on an outside supplier, made-to-order sections typically despatch within days rather than weeks. Tell us your programme dates and we'll confirm lead times before you order.
