Fan coil installations live or die on the ductwork around them. Each unit needs its inlet and discharge connected and air distributed to grilles without stealing the static pressure a small FCU fan can't spare. We fabricate complete FCU ductwork packages in galvanised steel to DW144 — sized to your units, labelled to your schedule, delivered floor by floor.

Why fabrication quality shows up at commissioning
FCU fans develop far less static pressure than central plant, so the connected ductwork has little margin for leaky joints or rough transitions. A cleanly fabricated rigid package is the difference between a floor that balances first time and one that fights the commissioning engineer for weeks. Do you supply the whole FCU ductwork package or just parts?
Both. We regularly price complete floor packages from FCU schedules and drawings, and we also supply individual boxes, transitions and duct lengths — many of which can be configured online for an instant price.
Can you match ductwork to any fan coil unit?
Yes — we fabricate to your unit's actual spigot sizes and positions rather than a fixed range, so any manufacturer and model can be accommodated, including mixed schedules across a building.
Why does FCU ductwork need to be so airtight?
Fan coil fans have limited static pressure — often only tens of pascals to spare. Leaks and rough fittings waste that margin, starving the far diffusers and making balancing difficult. Sealed, made-to-measure duct protects the performance the FCU was selected for.
